Buyers are offered several avenues of bidding, which include online, absentee, phone and, of course, in-house bidding.

We strive to make the consignment process as easy as possible. From accurate pre-auction estimates to a simple commission structure with no fees for photography or advertising, we make your experience with us as transparent as possible. There are several ways to begin the consignment process and in all cases, a preliminary review is free and confidential. Consignment appointments need to be made in advance . You can reach us at our number (908) 237-3995 to speak or set up an appointment for consigning items. We have an experienced staff on hand ready to assess the value of your items. Please submit images and the following information by email to info@goldfinchauctions.com we would, however, prefer that you bring the items into our offices, as this is the simplest way for us to evaluate your items accurately.

When Emailing Images

  1. Clear images of the object’s front and back, and, if applicable, a close-up of the signature or maker’s mark.
  2. Copies of appraisals or any literature relating to the item or certificates of authenticity, if available.
  3. Any history of the object, including when, where and how it was a acquired.
  4. Dimensions, medium and other available details.

When consigning your property, you have the option of personally dropping your items off or having us pick them up wherever they are housed. We are readily available for pickups all over the tri-state area and beyond. There is a pickup charge that would be applied at the end of processing your consignment but you may opt to have this fee deducted from your consignment proceeds rather than pay up front.

Consignors are paid within 25 days after the last day of the sale. If you prefer selling outright and do not wish to wait for payment through the consignment process, A Touch of the Past Auction offers buyouts for complete or partial estates.

Goldfinch Auctions  presents our weekly free evaluation event, every Wednesday through Friday through between the hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Call for an appointment . We’re always excited to examine and explore the items and pieces that our valued customers offer. The consignment or sale of your items is optional.
